Dog Daycare Near Rosedale, Moore Park & Summerhill — Academy Daycare

Dog Daycare for Rosedale, Moore Park & Summerhill Dogs

You live in neighbourhoods where quality isn’t optional — it’s the baseline. Rosedale’s heritage homes, the ravine walks through Moore Park, Summerhill’s curated everything. The standard here isn’t “good enough.” So when it comes to who spends eight hours a day with your dog, the same standard should apply.

Most Toronto daycares staff their floors with people who passed a background check and watched an orientation video. That’s the industry. Academy Daycare is something different — a facility run by canine behaviour specialists with 15 years of experience and zero serious incidents. Not a franchise. Not a startup finding its footing. A team that has spent a decade and a half doing one thing at an exceptionally high level.

We’re at 22 Cardico Dr in Gormley, about 30-35 minutes north via the DVP and 404. Rosedale and Moore Park owners already use this corridor daily. The drive is the same one you’d take to a country property or a weekend in cottage country — north through the valley, past the city, into open space.

Why Rosedale and Moore Park Owners Choose Academy

The Expertise Gap Is Real

Walk your dog through Rosedale Ravine or along the paths below Chorley Park and you’ll see dozens of dogs. You’ll also see the full spectrum — beautifully trained retrievers walking at heel, and reactive dogs lunging at squirrels while their owners white-knuckle a retractable leash. The difference isn’t the dog. It’s who’s been working with them.

At Academy, every staff member is a canine behaviour specialist. Not a title — a skillset built over years of reading body language, managing pack dynamics, and intervening before problems develop. That’s why we’ve maintained a perfect safety record for 15 years.

Temperament-Matched Groups in 8,500 Square Feet

Our facility is 8,500 sq ft purpose-built for dogs — multiple indoor play areas, an outdoor yard, dedicated rest zones, treadmill and slatmill stations, proper ventilation, and non-slip surfaces throughout.

We don’t group dogs by size. A timid 70-pound golden and a high-drive 70-pound shepherd are not the same dog, and putting them together because they weigh the same is lazy management. We match by temperament, energy level, and play style. Every dog in the group is compatible. Every dog is actually having a good day.

Three Programs — Each Serves a Different Need

Standard Daycare — $55/day

For well-socialized dogs that thrive in structured group play. Supervised, temperament-matched groups with active management by behaviour specialists.

OptionPricePer Day
Single day$55$55
5-day pack$265$53
10-day pack$500$50
15-day pack$705$47
Unlimited$649/moIncludes bath & nail trim

Day & Train — $95/day

This is the program that doesn’t exist anywhere in midtown Toronto. Day & Train combines full obedience training with structured socialization — 1-on-1 training sessions throughout the day covering commands, leash work, treadmill fitness, and place cot training, with matched group play between sessions.

At $95/day, it’s a fraction of the residential programs that charge $3,000-$5,000. We use professional tools — prong collars, e-collars (TENS-based, not shock), slip leads, and muzzles when appropriate. Intact dogs are welcome.

OptionPricePer Day
Single day$95$95
5-day pack$465$93
10-day pack$900$90
15-day pack$1,305$87
Unlimited$1,395/moIncludes bath & nail trim

Behavioural Daycare — $95/day

If your dog has been declined by another daycare — reactive on leash, anxious in groups, over-aroused around other dogs — this is why we exist. Smaller group sizes, hands-on trainer management, gradual introductions, and a structured confidence-building approach.

Moore Park and Rosedale have a particular version of this problem: dogs with limited socialization because their owners have large properties and don’t feel the urgency of daily exposure. Behavioural daycare builds the skills they’re missing.

Boarding — $75/night

Same facility, same team, same standards. $75/night standard, $65/night for stays of 7+ nights.
