What Daycare Parents Say

Peace of Mind, Every Day

"I used to feel terrible leaving my dog home alone all day. Now he goes to Academy 4 days a week and I know he's having a better day than I am."

Sarah M.

German Shepherd, 3y

"I visited 5 daycares before finding Academy. Every other place was just chaos. Here, the staff actively manage every interaction. 15-year safety record says it all."

James K.

Belgian Malinois, 4y

"My lab was destroying the house out of boredom while I worked. Three weeks of daycare and she was a completely different dog at home. Tired, happy, and not eating the couch."

Derek W.

Labrador, 1y

FAQ

Daycare Questions

What are the requirements for daycare?
Dogs must be at least 16 weeks old with current rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations. Spay/neuter is strongly recommended but not required. No lengthy assessment process — we can handle any dog.
Can intact dogs attend daycare?
Spay/neuter is strongly recommended. Intact males over 1 year struggle in group settings — they tend to mark, mount, and become territorial. We recommend our Day & Train program for intact dogs where they get hands-on management.
How often should my dog attend?
For best results — especially for new or nervous dogs — we recommend 3–5 days per week for at least the first few months to build routine and confidence.
What happens during a typical day?
Dogs rotate through structured play sessions, outdoor yard time, rest periods, and socialization — all supervised by our behaviour specialists. You'll receive a weekly report card on their progress. See the full schedule above.
What is behavioural daycare?
Behavioural daycare is for dogs that need extra support — reactive, nervous, or high-energy dogs that require more hands-on management and smaller group sizes. Our trainers actively work with these dogs throughout the day.
My dog is nervous — will daycare help?
Absolutely. We match nervous dogs with calm, compatible playmates and recommend consistent attendance (3–5 days/week) to build lasting confidence in a safe environment.

"My dog was banned from 2 daycares. Academy didn't just accept him — he's thriving now."
